Manke Tabbed First Team All-America

SEGUIN, Texas -- Jack Manke (Houston/Stratford) has been named a First Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced on Thursday. It marks the fourth time in five seasons that Texas Lutheran has had at least one All-American selection.

Manke was a critical part of Texas Lutheran's success during the 2023 season, starting all 17 matches for the Bulldogs in 2023 - tying for the team lead with nine goals and was second on the team with 20 points while leading the team with five game winners on the season. Manke tied for the national lead with a perfect 1.000 percentage on penalty kicks (4-for-4) and tied for 13th nationally with five game winners. The Bulldogs were 8-0 in games in which Manke tallied a goal.

The All-America honor comes on the heels of Manke's first All-West Region selection, where he was also named to the First Team. Diego Roman joined Manke on the All-West Region Team as a Third Team selection.

Manke has earned an array of accolades this year, being named All-SCAC First Team, United Soccer Coaches All-West Region in addition to earning both SCAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors over the course of the 2023 season.

This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan, 13, 2024 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
