No. 16 TLU Falls to No. 22 Colorado College, 2-1

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO --  No. 16 Texas Lutheran fell to No. 22 Colorado College Sunday afternoon, 2-1, at Stewart Field. The Bulldogs falls to 12-2 (3-2 SCAC) on the year while Colorado College improves to 9-2-1 (4-0 SCAC).

The Tigers opened the scoring in the sixth minute,

Texas Lutheran would respond in the 22nd minute with a goal from Preston Huff (Cypress/Cy-Fair), his seventh of the season. The seventh goal ranks Huff third in the SCAC in the category and fourth in points (16).

The score remained tied through the remainder of the half, with the Tigers outshooting the visiting Bulldogs 7-4 over the first 45 minutes.

The score would stay equal until a 70th minute goal from the Tigers to overtake the Bulldogs.

Colorado College held the Bulldogs to just one shot in the second half.

In total, Colorado College out shot the Bulldogs 11-5 with a 5-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Freshman Aiden Page (Schertz/Steele) made three saves in his first career start.

The Bulldogs wrap their final road trip of the 2023 regular season on Friday, Oct. 20, as they travel to Sherman to face the Austin College 'Roos. The match is set to kick off at 8 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
