Manke Tabbed SCAC Offensive Player of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's soccer defender Jack Manke (Houston/Stratford) was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Player of the Week the conference announced on Monday.

This marks the third consecutive week with a weekly conference honor for the Bulldogs and the second for Manke - who earned Defensive Player of the Week honors during the opening week.

Manke netted two goals on the weekend including the game winner in TLU's 2-1 victory over UT-Dallas on Friday.

Manke, who entered the season with two career goals, recorded his third of the season with his 31st-minute goal on Sunday against Ozarks and is currently tied for third in the SCAC in goals (3) and fourth in points (7).

Manke and the Bulldogs return to the pitch tomorrow, Sept. 19, as they conclude their season opening seven-match road trip on Tuesday as they travel to Brownwood to face the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets.
