Luis Green Named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for Third Time This Season

SEGUIN, Texas -- After scoring six goals and registering an assist in the Bulldogs's final two contests of the season, Texas Lutheran men's soccer forward Luis Green (Monterrey, Mexico/Smithson Valley) has earned the nod as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

The recognition marks the ninth SCAC Offensive Player of the Week honor in Green's career.

Green scored a goal against the University of Dallas on Saturday (3-1 win on Oct. 29) before a record breaking performance on Sunday scoring a program record five goals against Austin College - the first "glut" in Texas Lutheran history. Green also added an assist in the match to set a TLU record for most points in a match (11). he five goals are the second most in a match in SCAC history and the 11 points are the third most in a single match. The five goals brings Green's final career tally to 81 goals to finish tied for tenth all-time in NCAA Division-III men's soccer history.

A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Green led the SCAC with 19 goals and 44 points in the regular season.

Texas Lutheran concluded its season with a 6-0 shutout of Austin College to finish their season with an 8-4-5 record.
