SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team played the Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders to a draw at 2-2 Monday night at Gustafson Field in non-conference action.

The Bulldogs out-shot the Crusaders 14-11 in a tightly contested, back-and-forth match.

UMHB struck first with a goal in the 3rd minute before Texas Lutheran would respond in the 26th minute with Nestor Ayala (Dorado, Puerto Rico/Wagner) scoring on a throw-in from Louis Hart (Missouri City/Ridge Point). The score would stay 1-1 entering half time.

Texas Lutheran would break the 1-1 tie in the 55th minute via a goal from Erick Lopez (Humble/Humble) - his second of the season. The Bulldogs would maintain that advantage entering the final minutes before a Crusaders goal in the 87th minute would restore the game to a tie. Neither team was able to obtain an advantage as the match came to a close with 2-2 as the final score.
