TLU Men's Soccer Falls to Concordia

SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team (1-1-2) fell 1-0 to the Concordia University Tornados (3-1-0) Friday night at Gustafson Field.

The Bulldogs outshot the Tornados 15-8, but the Tornados held a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Senior Luis Green (Monterrey, Mexico/Smithson Valley) had the Bulldogs lone shot on goal in the first half.

Concordia took a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute.

Noah Harris (Missouri City/Elkins) Arthbert William (Cibolo/Steele) and Green would all have shots on goal in the second half but would all be saved by the Concordia keeper. Green led the Bulldogs with six shots on the night.

Senior goalkeeper Caleb Weed (San Antonio/Warren) would make three saves in-goal for the Bulldogs in the first half. Noel Pena (Houston/Cy-Falls) would take the losing decision - his first loss of the season.

The Bulldogs will return to the pitch on Monday night at Gustafson Field as they host the Crusaders of Mary Hardin-Baylor at 7 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
