SALEM, VA -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team battled Ithaca College to a 0-0 draw Saturday evening at Donald J. Kerr Stadium in Salem, Virginia, to open the 2022 VBR Sports Roanoke College Men's Soccer Invitational hosted by Roanoke College.
The Bulldogs out-shot the Bombers 7-1 in the contest as the Bulldogs suffocating defensive efforts continued Saturday. Noel Pena (Houston/Cy-Falls) and Caleb Weed (San Antonio/Warren) both maintained clean sheets with Weed taking the decision.
Arthbert William (Cibolo/Steele), Marco Rodriguez (Houston/Jersey Village), and Luis Green (Monterrey, Mexico/Smithson Valley) all had shots on-goal for the Bulldogs.
TLU tallied eight corner kicks in the contest, compared to two for Ithaca.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Monday when the Bulldogs face host Roanoke College to cap off the 2022 VBR Sports Roanoke College Men's Soccer Invitational. The match is set to kickoff at 1 PM CST. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
