
Men’s Golf Begins SCAC Championship in Eighth Place
LAKE WHITNEY, Texas --The Texas Lutheran men's golf team concluded day one at the SCAC Championship Tournament shooting 43-over in the first round to put the Bulldogs in eighth place heading into round two at White Bluff Golf Resort in Lake Whitney, Texas.
Texas Lutheran made five birdies through its first 18 holes of the SCAC Championship. The Bulldogs look to capitalize in round two on Monday to improve from its eighth place.
Freshman Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) settled into the top 15 after round one, ending the day tied for 15th, shooting an 81 (+9). The Bellville native finished with eight pars and one birdie on the day.
Seniors Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) and Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) each carded a 10-over to finish tied for 21st.
Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) and Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) rounded out the scores for the Bulldogs on Sunday with an 86 and 93 respectively.
