Bulldogs Earn Runner-Up Finish; Wills Places Third at Bash at the Bend
MANY, LA -- Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) earned his second top ten finish of the fall season on Tuesday, finishing in third place, while the Texas Lutheran men's golf team finished as the tournament's runner-up at the 2024 Bash at the Bend at Cypress Bend Resort in Many, Louisiana.
TLU shot 29-over as a team on Tuesday to finish the tournament 48-over overall for a second place finish. 11th-ranked Southwestern University would win the tournament with a final score of 34-over. Wills led the Bulldogs Tuesday with a five-over final round. Wills' third place finish with a score of 151 (+7) led the Bulldogs individually while Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) would join Wills in the top ten, tying for seventh at 12-over over 36 holes.
Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) would be the final Bulldog in the top 15, shooting 15-over overall for a 14th place finish.
Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes), Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens), and Jeffrey Janik (Harlingen/Harlingen School of Health Professions) all finished tied for 20th at 19-over.
Texas Lutheran returns to action Oct. 28-29 at the 2024 Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas at Hawk's Creek in Dallas, Texas to conclude their fall season.
