Hollomon, Miller in Top Ten After 36 Holes at Alamo City Classic
SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team sits in fourth place after 36 holes at the Alamo City Classic at the Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas. Texas Lutheran has two teams in the tournament with the Bulldogs B team sitting in a tie for seventh place.
The Bulldogs A squad shot a team score of 599 (+31) through 36 holes while the B lineup shot a 624 (+56). LeTourneau currently sits in first place with a team score of 570 (+2).
Freshman Cooper Hollomon (Belllville/Bellville) leads the lineup thus far at three-over through two rounds. Hollomon started one-under in the first round before following with a four-over score in his second round. Hollomon trails by seven strokes entering Tuesday's final round. Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) joined Hollomon in the top ten, finishing one stroke behind him at four-over to sit in a tie for ninth place.
Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) is in 19th place with a 36-hole score of eight-over (150).
Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) and Jeffrey Janik (Harlingen/Harlingen School of Health Professions) are tied at 22nd at 10-over while Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) is in 28th (+14) and John Tennill (Corpus Christi/Calallen) is a stroke behind in 29th place.
