Hollomon Leads Rhodes Fall Invitational Through 36 Holes
TUNICA, MS -- Powered by a pair of strong rounds, freshman Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) sits in first place with a three stroke lead after the opening 36 holes Sunday at Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Mississippi, on day one of the Rhodes College Fall Invitational.
Hollomon fired rounds of 67 and 72 Sunday to sit at five-under par through 36 holes and enjoy a three-shot lead heading into tomorrow's third and final round.
Tournament host, Rhodes College, sits in first place in the team race with a score of 578. After leading through round one, Texas Lutheran sits in a tie for seventh place with a score of 592.
Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) fired off a 36-hole score of 146 to sit in a tie with 10 other golfers in 13th place entering the final round.
