Wills Finishes Day One in Sixth, Bulldogs in Fifth Place at Linda Lowery Invitational
LAGWAY, Texas -- Junior Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) led the Texas Lutheran men's golf team to a fifth place finish after day one at the Linda Lowery Invitational hosted by Concordia University in Lagway, Texas, shooting a three-over 75 placing him in sixth place and four strokes back of the lead through 18 holes.
Texas Lutheran sits in fifth place overall in the 12 team field at 30-over 318. UT-Dallas leads the tournament at seven-over, 295.
Cody O'Brien (Houston/St. John XXIII College Prep) tied for 13th place with a first day tally of 78 to finish six-over par. Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) finished a stroke behind O'Brien to tie for 22nd place.
Texas Lutheran's final round tees off at 8 AM on Tuesday.
