Texas Lutheran Finishes Ninth at The Texas Cup

DESOTO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Texas Cup at Thorntree Golf Club in DeSoto, Texas, on Tuesday. Individually, Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) finished tied for 13th with a final tally of 221 (+5) over 54 holes to lead Texas Lutheran.

The Bulldogs shot a team score of 918 (+54) finishing the tournament with a third round score of 303.

LeTourneau University won the tournament with a score of one-under par, outlasting UT-Dallas, the tournament's host, by two strokes.

Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) and Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) finished tied for 37th place with 54-hole scores of 231 (+15).

Texas Lutheran returns to action next week at the Linda Lowery Invitational at the Live Oak Golf Course in Lagway, Texas, March 25-26th.
