Wills Finishes Day One in Second, Bulldogs in Fifth Place at Space City Classic
HOUSTON, Texas -- Junior Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) led the Texas Lutheran men's golf team to a fifth place finish after day one at the Space City Classic in Houston, Texas, shooting a one-under 141 placing him in second place and three strokes back of the lead through 36 holes.
Texas Lutheran sits in fifth place overall in the 10 team field at 25-over 593. TLU trails leader Mary Hardin-Baylor by four strokes entering the final round.
Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) finished 8-over 150 to finish tied for 15th after 36 holes.
Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) and Cody O'Brien (Houston/St. John XXIII College Prep) both tied for 22nd with a first day tally of 151 to finish 9-over par.
Texas Lutheran's third and final round tees off at 8 AM on Tuesday. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
