Wills, Texas Lutheran in Third Place Through 18 Holes at Abilene Intercollegiate
ABILENE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team is in third place with a 301 following Monday's 18 holes of action at the Abilene Intercollegiate Classic hosted by Hardin-Simmons University at the Diamondback National Golf Club in Abilene, Texas. Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) leads the Texas Lutheran lineup with an even par score through 18 holes to tie for third place.
Wills trails first place by one stroke individually while TLU trails leader Concordia University by 16 strokes. The Bulldogs have a four stroke lead on fifth place McMurry.
Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) joined Wills in the top ten ninth place after Monday's opening round with a score of three-over (74).
Cody O'Brien (Houston/St. John XXIII College Prep) snuck into the top 20, tying for 17th with a five-over (76) opening round.
Tuesday's second round will begin with tee times starting at 9 AM.
