Tobey Wills Wins Second Title of 2023, Texas Lutheran Finishes Sixth at Rhodes Spring Classic
MILLINGTON, TN -- Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster), a sophomore from Richmond, Texas, made three birdies Tuesday en route to a four-over score of 76 to claim his second individual championship of the 2023 season at the Rhodes Spring Classic hosted by Rhodes College at the Mirimichi Golf Course in Millington, Tennessee.
Wills finished the 36-hole tournament at a three-under score of 213 - winning the event by two strokes.
As a team, Texas Lutheran finished in a tie for sixth place with a final total of 909 (+45).
Senior Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) totaled a 14-over 230 to finish tied for 23rd.
Texas Lutheran will now focus on the 2023 SCAC Championships hosted by Schreiner University at Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville, Texas, April 17-18.
