Texas Lutheran Ties for 7th at Linda Lowery Invitational

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team earned a tie for seventh place at the Linda Lowery Invitational on Tuesday at the Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, Texas.

The Bulldogs closed the event with a round of 317 with a 36-hole total of 641, 65-over par. St. Thomas won the event with a 596 tally, Southwestern was second with a team score of 600 at the par-72 course.

St. Thomas' Cade Kiser posted a 2-under total of 142 to claim a first-place finish - winning the event by four strokes.

Round Rock native Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) led the Bulldogs individually tying for 33rd with a 14-over par total of 158.

Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster), last week's SCAC Golfer of the Week, and Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) each finished 15-over to tie for 36th.

Texas Lutheran will travel to Millington, Tennessee, located just outside of Memphis, for the Rhodes College Spring Classic at Mirimichi Golf Course for their final tournament, April 2-3, ahead of the 2023 SCAC Championships. The 2023 SCAC Championships will take place April 17-18 at Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville, Texas.
