Wills Named SCAC Golfer of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Fresh off winning the Hal Sutton Invitational, Texas Lutheran sophomore Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) has been named SCAC Co-Golfer of the Week, sharing the honors with Trinity University's Daniel Nunez, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

The honor is Wills' first of the 2023 season and the second of his career.

Wills made five birdies Tuesday en route to an one-under score of 71 to claim his first individual championship of the 2023 season at the Hal Sutton Invitational at the Golf Club at Stonebridge. Wills finished the 36-hole tournament at an even score of 144 - winning the event by two strokes.

Wills and Texas Lutheran Men's Golf will be back in action March 27-28 at the Linda Lowery Invitational at the Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, Texas.
