Tobey Wills Wins Individual Title at Hal Sutton Invitational, Texas Lutheran Finishes Third

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster), a sophomore from Richmond, Texas, made five birdies Tuesday en route to an one-under score of 71 to claim his first individual championship of the 2023 season at the Hal Sutton Invitational at the Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Wills finished the 36-hole tournament at an even score of 144 - winning the event by two strokes.

As a team, Texas Lutheran finished in a tie for third place with a final total of 623 (+47).

Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) climbed 12 spots on the leaderboard on Tuesday to finish tied for 20th. The Fredericksburg native shot 83 and 76 for a 15-over 159.

Senior Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) totaled a 17-over 161 to finish 26th.

Texas Lutheran returns to action March 27-28 at the Linda Lowery Invitational at the Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, Texas.
