TLU Men's Golf Opens Spring at The Whitney

WHITNEY, Texas -- Texas Lutheran men's golf, behind Tobey Wills' (Richmond/Foster) 5-over 77, sit in fifth place at The Whitney following Monday's first round at White Bluff Resort. The Bulldogs trail Dallas by 19 strokes after a 41-over 329. Wills is six shots off of Jacob Mason's (Trinity) lead.

Caleb Kruse (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) Drew Alexander, and Reece Whittemore (Deer Park/Deer Park) find themselves all in the top 20 and tied for 15th with first round scores of 11-over par.

Texas Lutheran's second round tees off at 9 AM on Tuesday. The six-team field features teams from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference and American Southwest Conference as well as Pomona Pitzer. Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
