Men's Golf Finishes Eighth in John Bohmann Memorial Invite

BLANCO, Texas --  The Texas Lutheran men's golf team earned an eighth place finish at the John Bohmann Memorial Invite on Tuesday at the Vaaler Creek Golf Course in Blanco, Texas.

The Bulldogs closed the event with a round of 312 with a 36-hole total of 633, 57-over par. Trinity University won the event with a 579 tally, Mary Hardin-Baylor was second with a team score of 587 at the par-72 course.

Southwestern University's Christian Rodriguez posted a 4-under total of 140 to claim first-place - winning the event by four strokes.

Sophomore Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) just missed the top ten, finishing in a tie for 12th place finishing with a 4-over par total of 148 after closing 1-over par in the final round Tuesday.

Senior Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) tallied a 6-over par score on Tuesday to close at 8-over par and finish tied for 25th with freshman Dylan Hansen (Manor/Weiss) - who shot 7-over on Tuesday.

TLU will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Tunica, Mississippi, to participate in the Rhodes College Fall Collegiate Challenge at the Tunica Country Club.
