Maus Earns PING All-America Honorable Mention

NORMAN, Okla. -- For the second time in his career, Texas Lutheran men's golfer Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) has been named a PING All-American, earning All-America Honorable Mention honors the GCAA announced Tuesday.

Maus was named a Third Team All-American in 2021. The recognition is Maus' third postseason honor, as he was previously named All-SCAC Honorable Mention and PING All-Region for Region 7.

Maus' selection makes it four straight years that a Texas Lutheran men's golfer has received All-America honor under the direction of head coach HC Tran - Maus the last two seasons and Colin Uecker who received Honorable Mention and Third Team honors in 2018 and 2019.

Maus finished the season with an adjusted average score of 73.70. He finished 15th in April's SCAC Championships and was named an All-Tournament selection. Maus tallied four top five finishes this spring - including two runner-up finishes in the Texas Cup and West Region Invitational. In 10 events this season, including the fall, Maus had a total of six top five finishes including a win at the Crusader Invitational in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

Maus concluded his season at the 2022 Division-III Men's Golf National Championships, tying for 80th place.
