Chase Maus's Season Comes to an End at NCAA Championships

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL -- Texas Lutheran senior Chase Maus's (Manor/Manor) run at the 2022 Division-III Men's Golf National Championships came to an end on Wednesday evening. The native of Manor, Texas, shot an 9-over-par 81 on Wednesday, finishing his second round 13-over-par 156 and tied for 80th place. Maus came up short in needing to be one of top six individuals not on one of the 18 advancing teams to move on to the final two rounds.

Maus had an excellent season thus far for the Bulldogs ranking 27th in the country at the Division-III level with an average score of 72.83. Maus finished 15th in April's SCAC Championships and was named an All-Tournament selection. Maus tallied four top five finishes this spring - including two runner-up finishes in the Texas Cup and West Region Invitational. In 10 events this season, including the fall, Maus had a total of six top five finishes including a win at the Crusader Invitational in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
