Texas Lutheran in Third Through 18 Holes at Texas Cup
PLANO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Men's golf team opened play Saturday at the Texas Cup with a 292 to sit in third place after 18 holes at Watters Creek Golf Club in Plano, Texas on Saturday. The Bulldogs finished four-over for the day - trailing the leader, Willamette University, by six strokes at the par-72 course.
TLU's Cameron Carter (Rock Springs, Wyo./Kelly Walsh) currently sits in a tie for fourth place following an opening round 71 one-under par.
The Bulldogs would place three in the top ten with junior Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) and senior Matthew McArthur (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) currently tied for seventh place - both signing for opening rounds of 73 one-over par.
Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) signed for a 75 to finish in a tie for 31st place.
