Bulldogs Finish Fourth in Hill City Invitational

LYNCHBURG, VA -- Texas Lutheran's men's golf team earned a fourth-place finish at the Hill City Invitational at the Boonsboro Country Club in Lynchburg, Virginia, on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs closed the event with a round of 299 to finish with a 36-hole total of 608, 32-over par. Methodist University won the event with a 572 tally at the par-72 course.

Junior Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) finished in the top five for the second consecutive tournament. After a third-place finish in the Schreiner Shootout to start the spring season, Maus posted an even-par total of 144 to finish tied for 5th after matching his Monday score of 72 on Tuesday.

After an opening round 82, Cameron Carter (Rock Springs, Wyo./Kelly Walsh) closed with a 72 even-par to finish at 153 to rise 18 spots and tie for 20th place.

Tobey Wills (Richmond/Foster) finished tied for 27th with a 36-hole score of 156, 12-over par.

Chandler Otto (Round Rock/Cedar Ridge) posted his low round of the event Tuesday, a 75, to finish tied for 30th.

Matthew McArthur (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) signed for an 81 to finish at 161 and tied for 37th.

Andrew Kraemer (San Antonio/Churchill) finished at 170 to tie for 58th.
