Chase Maus Named SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week

SEGUIN, TX -- Texas Lutheran Men's golfer Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's golfer of the week. This is Maus's first SCAC honor of the year and fourth of his career.

Maus earned individual medalist honors at the University of Dallas Crusader Invitational, which was contested at the 7,126 yard, par 72 Scissor Tail Golf Course at the WinStar Resort in Thackerville, Okla. Maus shot a final round 70 (-2) on Tuesday to move from fourth to atop of the leaderboard following Tuesday's concluding round. The Bulldogs finished sixth as a team at the 13-team event.

Maus's first place finish was his second victory of his TLU career and his second top ten finish of the fall golf season.

Maus and Texas Lutheran men's golf now shift their focus to the Chick-Fil-A Invitational, which starts on October 25th at Stonebridge Golf Course in Rome, Georgia.
