Men's Golf takes second at Pine Dunes Invitational

FRANKSTON, TX -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf shot 10 over par as a team Tuesday to secure a second place finish in the Pine Dunes Invitational in Frankston, Texas. The Bulldogs were led by two finishers in the top five: Tobey Wills (second) and Chase Maus (third). Texas Lutheran's 10-over par score on day 2 of the Invitational made for the best team round of the day.

Maus's day two score (+1) made for the third best score of the day trailing Nicholas Chavez (-2) of Providence Christian College and Invitational champion Corbin Barton (-3) from LeTourneau University.

Wills, a freshman from Richmond, Texas, finishes second in his first tournament as a Bulldog bolstered by a shooting a second round 68.

The Bulldogs had two more top ten finishes in: Chandler Otto (sixth) and Matthew McArthur (tied for ninth).

The Bulldogs return to the course next on September 20 at Starcke Park in Seguin for the John Bohmann Memorial Intercollegiate Tournament.
