Texas Lutheran's Chase Maus named 2021 PING All-American for NCAA Division III

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran junior Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) has been named to the 2021 PING All-America Team for NCAA Division III.

The Division III PING All-America Teams were announced today by the Golf Coaches Association of America

Maus was named to the All-America Third Team. In late June, Maus was named to the PING All-West Region Team.

Maus, who just completed his junior season with the Bulldogs, has been at the top of the Bulldogs' lineup for the last two years. He has been a member of two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship runner-up squads.

In 2021, Maus placed fourth at the SCAC Championship and earned First Team All-SCAC honors. His 2021 season also included a third-place finish at the Alamo City Classic, a third-place finish at the D3 San Antonio Shootout, and a third-place showing at the West Region Invitational.

For adjusted scoring, Maus ranked 26th nationally in the GolfStat individual rankings for NCAA Division III. He had an adjusted scoring average of 73.98. In nine matchups against players ranked in the Top 100, Maus was 5-4 head-to-head against those players in tournaments.

In his collegiate career, Maus has claimed four SCAC Player of the Week honors.

Holding a 3.71 grade point average in Business Administration, Maus is a three-time member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll. He was named to the 2020 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars Team for NCAA Division III. He is a 2021 nominee for CoSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors.

Andre Chi and Cooper Hrabak of Methodist, Webster's Will Hocker, Jason Li of Carnegie Mellon, Guilford's James Mishoe, Jimmy Morton and Rob Wuethrich of Illinois Wesleyan, Jacob Pedersen of Gustavus Adolphus, and Emory's Max Schwarz comprised the PING All-America First Team.

Second Team selections included Methodist's Henry Angier, Ben Balen of Piedmont, Huntingdon's Owen Burt, William Knauth of Carnegie Mellon, Nebraska Wesleyan's Alex Kubik, Guilford's Jack Lee, Alex Price of Christopher Newport, RPI's Ryan Quinn, and Ethan Wilkins of Illinois Wesleyan.

Matthew Armstrong of St. Thomas (MN), Huntingdon's Grant Gronka and Walker Hinds, Willamette's Andrew Kibbee, Mason Koch of George Fox, Ryan Kropp of UT Dallas, McMurry's Brendon Lowrance and Lane Roye, and Maus were named to the Third Team.

A total of 21 golfers were Honorable Mention selections.
