Texas Lutheran's Chase Maus named to PING All-West Region Team

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf standout Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) has been named to the Collegiate Golf Coaches Association PING All-West Region Team for NCAA Division III.

Maus, who just completed his junior season with the Bulldogs, has been at the top of the Bulldogs' lineup for the last two years. He has been a member of two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship runner-up squads.

In 2021, Maus placed fourth at the SCAC Championship and earned First Team All-SCAC honors. His 2021 season also included a third-place finish at the Alamo City Classic, a third-place finish at the D3 San Antonio Shootout, and a third-place showing at the West Region Invitational.

For adjusted scoring, Maus ranked 26th nationally in the GolfStat individual rankings for NCAA Division III. He had an adjusted scoring average of 73.98. In nine matchups against players ranked in the Top 100, Maus was 5-4 head-to-head against those players in tournaments.

In his collegiate career, Maus is a four-time SCAC Player of the Week honoree.

Holding a 3.71 grade point average in Business Administration, Maus is a three-time member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll. He was named to the 2020 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars Team for NCAA Division III. He is a 2021 nominee for CoSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors.
