Texas Lutheran in second after two rounds of West Region Invitational

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Golf carded rounds of 295 and 304 Monday to sit in second place at the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club.

Bulldogs Chase Maus and Matthew McArthur are in third and fifth, respectively. Maus recorded a pair of 73s, and McArthur posted a 73 and a 75.

Southwestern leads the tournament after a two-round total of 579. The Pirates lead TLU by 20 shots going into Tuesday's final 18 holes.

Hardin-Simmons is a shot behind TLU, and Mary Hardin-Baylor and Concordia Texas are three and five shots, respectively, behind the Bulldogs.

Austin Kelley and Collin O'Hern of Southwestern are 1-2 in the individual standings. Kelly posted a 70 and a 71. O'Hern is a shot back after a 69 and a 73.

Maus is five shots behind Kelley and four behind O'Hern.

TLU's Nathan Haley and Cameron Carter are tied for 17 and tied for 24th, respectively. Haley had a 73 and a 78, and Carter registered a 77 and a 78.

Chandler Otto is 33rd with rounds of 76 and 84.
