Eighth-place finish for Texas Lutheran Men's Golf at Schreiner Spring Shootout
KERRVILLE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs finished eighth at the Schreiner Spring Shootout, which concluded Tuesday at Comanche Trace.
The Bulldogs followed up Monday's 309 team score with a team round of 323. TLU's two-day total was 632.
McMurry won the tournament with a score of 601. The War Hawks edged Trinity by one shot. Mary Hardin-Baylor was third at 606.
Lane Roye of McMurry won medalist honors by two shots over Holden Wisener of Trinity.
Chase Maus led TLU with a tie for 24th. Maus shot a pair of 78s in the tournament.
Nathan Haley tied for 38th after two rounds of 80. Matthew McArthur moved up seven spots, from 47th to 40th, with an 80 after an 81 on Monday.
Chandler Otto tied for 45th, and Cameron Carter tied for 47th.
The Bulldogs return to action March 22-23 with the SCAC Conference Preview at Vaaler Creek in Blanco, Texas. TLU is the host of the tournament.
