Bulldogs open Schreiner Shootout in seventh place
KERRVILLE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs shot an opening-round 309 to sit in seventh place Monday at the Schreiner Spring Shootout at Comanche Trace.
The Bulldogs are 10 shots out of the lead, shared by McMurry and Mary Hardin-Baylor. Concordia Texas is a shot back after a round of 300.
Trinity, Southwestern, and Our Lady of the Lake are in fourth, fifth, and sixth.
Dallas, St. Thomas, Hardin-Simmons, Howard Payne and Schreiner round out the field.
TLU's Chandler Otto is in a tie for fifth after shooting a 73.
Chase Maus and Cameron Carter are in a tie for 27th after carding rounds of 78.
Nathan Haley and Matthew McArthur are in 37th and 46th, respectively, with scores of 80 and 81.
The tournament concludes Tuesday with final 18 holes at Comanche Trace.
