Chase Maus named SCAC's Men's Golfer of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran junior Chase Maus (Manor/Manor) has been named this week's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.

Maus produced a third-place individual finish at the Division III San Antonio Shootout, which concluded on Tuesday at TPC San Antonio.
 
Maus now has three career SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week awards.
 
Maus was the top SCAC finisher in a field of 61 players. He shot rounds of 75, 71 and 76 for a six-over-par 222. He led the Bulldogs to a fourth-place team finish.

The San Antonio Shootout was the second consecutive tournament in which Maus finished third individually. He was third at the Alamo City Classic in San Antonio on Feb. 8-9.
 
The Bulldogs' next tournament is scheduled for March 8-9 at the Schreiner Shootout. The tournament will be played at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Holden Wisener of Trinity paced the Tigers to the team title at the D3 San Antonio Shootout with a fourth-place individual finish, shooting a 75 (+3) in Tuesday's round to match his 75-75 on the opening day of action. Junior Jonathan Miller of St. Thomas led his team and his ninth place finish was tied for the fifth-best among SCAC individuals at the D3 San Antonio Shootout. He finished with a 232 (76-79-77) to lead the Celts. Sophomore Jake Sitterle of Schreiner had rounds of 78, 76 and 81 to finish in a tie for 16th at the D3 San Antonio Shootout. Southwestern sophomore Nicholas Hoisington led the Pirates in his first event for the program, scoring a 235 with 75, 80, 80 splits to finish tied for 16th at 19 over par.
