TLU Bulldogs fifth, Maus sixth at Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational

ROME, Ga. -- Chase Maus posted a sixth-place individual finish to lead the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to a fifth-place team showing at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club.
 
TLU followed up Monday's 297 with a 311 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs placed behind LaGrange (589), Huntingdon College (594), Berry College (597), and Birmingham Southern (607).
 
The Bulldogs ended with a team total of 608, a shot shy of Birmingham Southern.
 
In the 19-team tournament, Walters State Community College, Oglethorpe, Berry College "B", Emory "B", and Spring Hill College closed out the top 10.
 
To get into the top 10 in the individual standings, Maus closed with a 75 on Tuesday after a 74 Monday. He posted a final total of 5-over-par 149.
 
TLU's Matthew McArthur also claimed a top-10 finish. McArthur finished at +6 after a 1-over 73 on Monday and a 5-over 77 on Tuesday.
 
Cameron Carter tied for 14th after rounds of 73 and 78. Nathan Haley and Evan Skaar tied for 55th and 72nd, respectively.
 
The Chick-fil-A Collegiate was the final tournament of the Bulldogs' fall season.
