Bulldogs rebound from OT loss to collect dominant win over Austin College

SEGUIN, Texas -- After a tough overtime loss to Austin College on Friday night, the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs rebounded for a dominant 81-55 victory Saturday over the Kangaroos.
 
The Bulldogs improved to 4-6 overall and to 4-6 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
 
Austin College dropped to 4-5 overall and to 4-5 in the SCAC.

Playing his last regular-season home game, senior forward Caleb Lister poured in 19 points and registered three rebounds and two assists.
 
Sebastian Andrade added 15 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals.
 
First-year post Garrett Prince contributed five points, five blocks, and eight rebounds.
 
TLU shot 45.3 percent from the field and hit 50 percent of its three-point shots. The Bulldogs made 10 of their 20 attempts from the arc.
 
Austin College went 1-for-10 from the arc and 12-for-25 at the free throw line.
 
TLU and Austin College now head to the SCAC Tournament.
 
The SCAC office announced this week a format change for the men's and women's basketball tournament, which is scheduled to begin the weekend of March 5-7 on campus sites around the conference.

Normally conducted over one weekend among the top six teams at a single predetermined site, this year the top eight men's and women's teams will qualify for the postseason conference tournament which will stretch over three weekends.

First round play will be conducted the weekend of March 5-7, semifinals are scheduled for March 12-14 and the men's and women's championship will occur the weekend of March 19-21. The top four seeds will host first round games on both the men's and women's side, and the top remaining seeds will host semifinal and championship rounds.
