D3football.com Tabs Aaron Sotelo First Team All-Region

SEGUIN, Texas -- Postseason honors continue to roll in for Texas Lutheran's Aaron Sotelo (Castroville/Medina Valley) as D3football.com honored him with First Team All-Region honors as a member of Region 3 on Wednesday. This honor follows Sotelo being named First Team All-ASC in November. This marks Sotelo's first career All-Region honor.

Sotelo is the first Texas Lutheran offensive skill player to be named All-Region since running back Marquis Barrolle earned Third Team All-Region honors in 2016.

The Castroville, Texas, product was stellar throughout the 2022 season amassing 49 receptions for 497 yards and eight touchdowns. Sotelo finished fourth in the American Southwest Conference (ASC) in receptions and touchdowns despite only playing in nine of the Bulldogs 10 games.

The teams, selected in balloting by Region 3 sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 161 nominations by full Division III member schools. A total of 75 players were chosen to 78 positions. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 16, in D3football.com's pregame coverage of the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.
