McGowan Named SCAC Pitcher of the Week for Third Time

SEGUIN, Texas -- For the third time this season, Texas Lutheran's Triston McGowan earned a SCAC weekly award after being named SCAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

McGowan ended the Bulldogs season on a high note with another dominant performance on the mound in Saturday's 14-0 win in the season finale over Schreiner.

McGowan was spectacular against the Mountaineers, tossing his fourth complete game of the season and his first complete game shutout while allowing five hits to end the season with a 6-5 record. The junior right hander finished with four strikeouts, finishing his season with a team-high 59 strikeouts. McGowan pitched the second most innings in the SCAC this season with 75.1 innings on the season.

The Bulldogs concluded the 2025 season with a 24-15 record, going 17-13 in the SCAC to finish in a tie for fourth place in the conference in the regular season.
