Jen Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran freshman infielder Cooper Jen (Kyle/Hays) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the first time in his career, the site announced Wednesday morning.

Jen started all five games at second base last week leading the Bulldogs to a 4-1 record, including a sweep of Dallas in a road SCAC conference series. Jen led the Bulldogs offensively, hitting .381 (8-for-21) with three homers, two doubles, a triple, 12 RBI, and 10 runs scored over the five-game week. Jen's performance was highlighted by hitting for the cycle in game two of the series against Dallas on Saturday. 

Jen ranks seventh in the SCAC in home runs (3), and eighth in RBI (20).

The Bulldogs will return to Katt-Isbel Field to begin a six-game homestand this weekend by hosting Austin College for a three-game series starting Friday at 6 p.m. All games will be streamed on TLU+. All streaming and live stats links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
