Vinton Earns SCAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran's Diego Vinton (Richmond/George Ranch) was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

In Tuesday's 9-5 comeback victory of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Vinton led the way, tossing five innings of scoreless, one-hit relief work. The Richmond, Texas, native entered with the Bulldogs trailing 5-1 in the fifth inning, and held the Crusaders to 1-of-16 at the plate and struck out seven en route to earning the win. It is Vinton's first Pitcher of the Week honor.

Vinton and the Bulldogs are back in action Tuesday, March 7, as they take on DeSales University at 6 PM at Katt-Isbel Field. All streaming and live stat links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
