TLU Senior Student-Athlete Profile - Baseball's Cullen Motsinger

Texas Lutheran Baseball senior outfielder Cullen Motsinger talks about the Bulldogs' 2021 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, his arm injury in the first game of the SCAC finals, and the team's perseverance in coming back from a late-game deficit to claim the conference title.

Motsinger graduated from TLU on Saturday with his master's degree (accountancy) and bachelor's degree (business administration). He received the degrees in absentia since he was competing with the baseball team in Cleburne, Texas at the conference tournament.

Motsinger is a four-year member of the TLU Baseball Team, was on the 2018 NCAA Division III national runner-up squad, and was named the SCAC's Elite 19 award winner in 2019. The Elite 19 award is given to one student-athlete at each of the conference's 19 championships. The Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete with the top grade point average that has at least 60 credit hours and earns All-SCAC honors for that particular season. (Fellow TLU outfielder Tyler Cauley received the Elite 19 award in 2021.)
