Bulldogs Set New Program-Highs in Loss to No. 6 UMHB

BELTON, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Acrobatics and Tumbling wrapped their regular season with a matchup with No. 6 Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday at the Mayborn Campus Center in Belton. The Bulldogs would drop the meet to the Crusaders with the Bulldogs (1-6) earning a total score of 241.600, a new program-high, and the Crusaders (7-1) earning a total score of 271.750.

Texas Lutheran would score a 34.05 in the compulsory, including an 8.8 in acro, 9.6 in pyramid, 9.55 in toss, and 6.10 in tumbling out of the highest possible value of 10. UMHB outscored the Bulldogs in the compulsory, earning a 37.60 total score.

After the acro event, TLU continued to trail the Crusaders with Texas Lutheran earning a total score of 24.85 consisting of a 9.20 in the fifth element, 7.40 in the sixth element, and 8.25 in the seventh element. The 24.85 score is a new program-high as the Bulldogs raised the program-high across every meet this season.
 
Mary Hardin-Baylor would narrowly out score the Bulldogs in the pyramid event, 29.45 to 27.15, with the 27.15 also setting a new program record.

Leading into the half, TLU trailed UMHB 95.10 - 86.05. 
 
The Crusaders narrowly took the toss event, with event scores being 27.05 - 26.10. Texas Lutheran earned a 9.00 in salto, 8.70 in synchronized, and 8.40 in open while setting yet another program record in the process.

UMHB began to pull away after taking the tumbling event, outscoring TLU 54.650 to 45.950. The tumbling event was highlighted by an 8.950 score from Phoenix Cosley (Round Rock/Hendrickson) in the open pass.

Texas Lutheran would conclude the regular season with one last program record, earning a score of 83.50 in the team event.
