Bio

Texas Lutheran’s volleyball coach for 21 years, Susan Duke led the Bulldogs to two AIAW National Championships (1975 & 1976) and coached two Olympians (Laurie Flachmeier Corbelli and Patricia Dowdell).  She guided the Bulldogs to nine national tournament appearances.  Her teams were national runners-up in 1981 and finished fourth in 1980 and 1984.  Duke coached 14 All-Americans and when she retired, was the third winningest volleyball coach in the nation (all divisions) with a record of 739 wins, 321 losses and two ties.  In 1994, she was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame.  She is the winningest coach in TLU athletics history, all sports in included.
