Bio

Scott Shackelford was the first Texas Lutheran athlete to win a state championship of any kind.  In eight matches played over two days in May of 1935, he defeated five opponents to win the State Junior College Tennis Championship in singles.  Scott then teamed up with Arthur Heidman to take runner-up honors in doubles.  Shackelford was also a cheerleader while at Texas Lutheran.
