Pete Correa
Bio
A 1957 class member, Pete was a strikeout artist during his four years at TLC. He was considered a fifth infielder on the mound due to his quick actions. He threw a no-hitter at Texas Tech as a junior. He posted a 9-3 record in 1955, striking out 148 batters – still a college record. He pitched 46 innings of scoreless ball that season as the Dogs won 16 games in a row. In two seasons, he defeated six Southwest Conference teams. Pete also lettered four years in basketball.
