Bio

A four-year letterman in tennis, Galvan Played No. 1 in men’s singles and doubles throughout his Bulldog career.  In 1998, he became the first Texas Lutheran tennis player to qualify for the NAIA National Championship.  He qualified for the tournament by winning the university’s first Heart of Texas Conference singles championship.  In 1999, he returned to the NAIA National Championships with the help of doubles partner Matt McCoy.  Galvan and McCoy won the HOTC doubles championship to advance to the national tournament.  Galvan played singles and doubles at the 1999 national tournament.  Playing for Head Coach Kathy Horan, Galvan led TLU to national team rankings in 1996 and 1997.  The Bulldogs were ranked as high as No. 22 in 1996.  Galvan was the first TLU male to crack the NAIA Top 50 with a ranking of 41st in 1996.
