Bio

Gary Kolkhorst started four years at catcher for Ray Katt on the Bulldog baseball team from 1973 to 1976.  In 1975, he was named to the NAIA District IV First Team and to the Big State Conference First Team.  Known for his knowledge of the game, handling the pitching staff, and defensive skills, Kolkhorst was a team leader on the Bulldogs 1974 and 1975 Big State Conference Championship squads.  Texas Lutheran shared the Big State title in 1974 and won the first outright conference crown in school baseball history in 1975.  The Bulldogs qualified for the NAIA District IV playoffs in both 1974 and 1975.
