Garfield 'Double Ugly' Kiel
Bio
A member of the junior college class of 1939, Kiel was named an All-District Texas Junior College basketball player in 1937 and All-State in 1938. He was captain and set a new scoring record in 1938. He was a gold medalist in track and set a new state record in the half-mile run in 1938.
