Bio

Floyd Medearis, a 6-foot-3 and 210 pound offensive tackle, earned All-America honors in football for the 1970 and 1971 seasons.  He is one of only 10 Texas Lutheran football players to garner All-America honors in multiple seasons.  And Floyd is only one of two Bulldog offensive linemen in school history to have two All-America years.  Floyd was a captain for the 1971 football squad, and the first team coached by Bulldog Legend Jim Wacker.  Floyd was also very active on campus.  He was elected to the student senate and helped the founding of the Texas Lutheran Black Student Union in 1970 and was elected the group’s first president.
