Bio

Dr. Wiederaenders is recognized for his part in the success of the Lutheran College football, basketball, and baseball teams of 1921-22.  All three teams were undefeated in that glorious season.  “Dr. Wiedy” as he is known across the TLU campus, has remained an ardent supporter of the university and its athletics programs throughout his many years of association with TLU even as his age nears the century mark.  His years of formal association with TLU, during which he served in many capacities, spanned from 1935-1970.  Still today, he is a fixture on campus and at TLU sporting events.  He can be heard yelling out his favorite cheer, “Go Dogs!”
