Bio

Denise is recognized for her accomplishments in volleyball and basketball during the years, 1981-1985.  She is the most honored athlete in TLU history, having been named NAIA All-American in two sports, and volleyball All-American by the Collegiate Volleyball Coaches Association.  During her volleyball career, TLC was 161-48 for a 77% winning percentage.  In addition, TLC won a state championship, thee Big State Conference Championships, two district championships, one bi-district championship, one regional championship, and made two appearances at the national championship tournaments finishing second (1981), and fourth (1984).  In her one-season basketball career, Denise was the leading scorer averaging 15.8 points per game.  She was named NAIA Academic All-American, Big State All-Conference First Team, and Co-Player of the Year (1985) of the Big State Conference.
